About Maria Popova

I have both a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Psychology and have recently been working part-time as a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant in a local school. The children at the school have substantial behavioural and emotional difficulties and need lots of encouragement and praise in order to succeed.

I also have a Diploma in Holistic Stress Management. I use a variety of techniques in my counselling sessions, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Neuro Linguistic Psychotherapy (NLP) and Meditation.

I have also designed and delivered interviews as part of my continuing studies towards a Post Graduate Diploma in Research Methods. I am currently undertaking a private research project about access to psychological services for parents with children who have special educational needs.
